James & Jennifer Becknell

James and Jen have served in the full-time ministry since 1994. James graduated from USC, where he also served as a campus minister. Jennifer is a graduate of UCLA. They moved to Milwaukee in 1998 and served in the ministry there until 2001 when they moved to Chicago. James has an MDiv from Harding School of Theology with a concentration in Systematic Theology. His teaching interests are spiritual formation, the second-temple period, Israel studies, Black theology and philosophy. Jennifer has a M.A. in Conflict Management from Lipscomb University, is trained in mediation and has a special interest in systems theories. They have two grown daughters, Jordan and Jade.
